Gift from ArleneGriffith.com - If I had Known

As many of you know already, at Kent's funeral back in 2004, Arlene wrote a song for Kent and M'Lissa called "If I Had Known". What you may have forgotten is that Arlene wrote this song the night before the funeral having woke up in the middle of the night with sleeplessness. She felt inspired to right a new song for the funeral and scrap the song she was going to sing and had prepared for. Her inspiration was truely incredible that night and "If I Had Known" is one of the most powerful songs I have heard with regard to couples and marriage.

I enjoy this song so much and while most of you have it on disc already, I wanted to share out this MP3 version on Kent's site so that anyone who visits may also hear the incredible music that Arlene has and does produce.

If you have trouble loading the song, follow these directions to download it first and then play it from your harddrive.

Right mouse click on the hyperlink to the song

Select "Save Target As"

Find a location on your computer's harddrive to save the file

Click Save

Kent Griffith Site Update!

Matthew has done a great job building out his latest web application to manage his own site at http://www.mattandmeag.com and I have worked with him to update KentGriffith.com so that the site is more funcational and realiable. I have also moved the site to an official hosting service, from my home server, so that the site is always up and more reliable. If you have any questions at all about the site or the content herein, please email david@kentgriffith.com and I will reply.

With the anniversary of Kent's passion rappidly approaching again, I wanted to refresh his site and again focus on the awesome life that Kent lived and that we all shared with him. He was a loving Father, Husband, brother and son and was truely inspirational to all of us. Kent's anniversary is Feb. 4th and this year I plan on focusing on the great things that he offered us all and passing that onto my own family and friends. I miss his light hearted nature and life has become far to serious for me with his passing, so this year, I will focus on enjoying life a bit more and sharing memories with my family.

Anyway, just wanted to post an update here and let the family know that Kent's site is finally back up and running and will be much more reliable moving forward.

Today it has been exactly a year since Kent’s passing. We all miss him so much and hope to see him once again really soon. It is surprising to think that he has been gone for a year now, it doesn’t seem real to us. I will try and get Miss to post a message for all of you to read. Please take a moment to remember Kent and his life, and feel free to continue to post in the message board.

Thank you,

As you will notice we have updated the website to be more useful for all of you. We hope that you enjoy the changes that have been made. If you have any suggestions just post a message on the message board and we will work on it. I am in school right now and Dave is busy with work but we will continue to improve the site as time goes on. You will notice if you have been to my website that this one is pretty much identical. I will be changing colors so that there is a slight difference.

I appreciate all of the posts that have been made they are awesome! Kent was a wonderful person, a day still doesn't go by that I don't think about him. Dave, Jim and I were out at Dave's for the weekend and talked about how we wished that Kent was there. I'm sure he dropped by to listen to us for a minute to get a laugh! :) Anyways hope you enjoy the website, I'm am going to try to get Missy to post on the front page of the website, she isn't too tech savvy but hopefully we can show her how to do it. Thanks for all of your help and support!

Sincerely,
